Harmonium workshop
This weekend workshop is an introduction and continuation into the mystical world of mantra and sound.
Day 1 FOUNDATIONS
Day 2 ADVANCED
We will deeply familiarize ourselves with the harmonium and our main instrument, the voice, and work with them.
You can book one day or both days, from 10 am to 16:30 pm, with a lunch break around 1 pm, full of the magic of sound!
I recommend booking both days to experience the full journey and learn the complete spectrum of harmonium playing. We will have plenty of time to explore, practice, ask questions, try different instruments, and receive individual feedback.
Day 1 – Foundations
The first day is all about building a solid foundation. You’ll learn the basic techniques of harmonium playing ・ from the anatomy of the Harmonium, correct posture, breathing, and hand positioning to understanding the keyboard layout and simple chord transitions. We’ll explore how to play the bellows, accompany your voice with ease, how to approach mantras musically, and how to develop confidence in your own sound. This day is perfect for beginners or anyone wishing to reconnect with the essentials.
Day 2 – Advanced
On the second day, it’s all about stepping into the roll of the teacher. We’ll dive deeper into the art of sharing kirtan, the rhythm of the bellows, the flow of a chant, and a confident expression. You’ll learn how to integrate rhythmic patterns into your playing, explore variations in tempo and dynamics, and discover techniques to make your kirtan or mantra chanting more alive and connected. We’ll also touch on improvisation. This session is ideal for those who have completed Day 1 or already have some experience with the harmonium.

Introduced to yoga by my mother at a young age, I grew up surrounded by mantra, Bhakti, Sivananda and Jivamukti Yoga teachings. At 15, I found my Yoga home in Jivamukti Yoga, a practice that continues to shape my life. My path has led me through many studies, travels, and teachings, sharing yoga, bhakti, and the love of the practice with students and new teachers alike.

Do I have to be experienced with the Harmonium?
☞ You dont need any previous knowledge for the Foundations Workshop! The Advanced Workshop will build on the Foundations, it's good if you have some experience for that, or have done the Foundations WS with me online or offline.
Can i do both days?
☞ YES! Absolutly! Even without previous knowledge you will learn a lot and come out of it full of confidence!
Do I need a Harmonium?
☞ NO! I will have Harmoniums provided for you, BUT if you have one, please bring it, so we can all have more time on the Harmonium to play. AND I will have Harmoniums available to buy after the Workshop
